Expansion joints

Pressure balanced expansion joints (PB)

Purpose of pressure balanced expansion joints is compensation of axial and lateral movements. Force due to internal pressure is fully eliminated with design of expansion joint so that on rest of the pipeline only spring force of bellows is transmitted.

Application is in pipelines where it is not possible to arrange fix points, where due to lack of space other solutions are limited and when is necessary to decrease loads on rest of the equipment in pipeline like are turbines, pumps, valves etc.
