Single hinged expansion joints (HS)

Single hinged expansion joints are designed to allow angular displacement in one plane only what is result of tie elements (hinge plates and pins). This type of expansion joint can’t be used as single unit but have to be applied in sets of two or three units depending of pipeline.

With application of these expansion joints, high values of movements can be compensated, advantage of this type is elimination of needs for robust fix points because force due to internal pressure is taken over by tie elements.
